Acupuncture uses small needles that are placed into specific points around the body. It works to help to bring your body more balance. Chinese medicine is an entire medical system that has the capacity to help a large variety of issues. I specialize in fertility and women’s health but also have experience with pain, auto-immune conditions and stress and anxiety. With the use of acupuncture needles around the body in meridian pathways around the body the energy or qi is either used to move stuck qi in an area or to call qi to the area.
I also have a lot of experience treating all types of pain and injuries. When I was in school I had a teacher that has worked a lot with Olympic athletes. I learned a lot about treating pain when I was studying with him. I also have taken additional continuing educational on sports medicine and have treated all sorts of back and neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain and foot pain. Put very simply acupuncture facilitates the smooth flow of qi or energy in the body, When there is not the free flow of qi, there is pain. In other words it brings blood flow to the area and reduces inflammation. Acupuncture works really well to relieve pain and help you to feel better when you cannot exercise and massage does not currently help it. Sometimes it can help with pain even while you wait for surgery. Sometimes if something is severe enough that acupuncture will do no good, as with my knee before I had a total knee replacement. I will tell you if I think that is teh case for you. I am in this to help you feel better, if I don’t think that will be possible without additional help I will not hesitate to tell you. Usually you can see some sort improvement in a couple visits.
I also have experience treating digestive issues like IBS and Crohns, many patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis, an other auto immune conditions. I also have experience stroke recovery, which is best done as soon as possible.
Along with fertility acupuncture and Chinese medicine can also help with PCOS, Endometriosis, and the perimenopause/menopause transition. I also learned a lot from Dr Romm about lifestyle changes during women’s lives.
Many of these are issues that can be helped with group acupuncture if a lower cost makes acupuncture more accessible.
Private acupuncture — $130
If you have a more complex issue like fertility of women’s health. You get one on one treatment and my undivided attention.$200 for fertility first appointment.
Group acupuncture — $70
Less privacy and no one on one treatment with me but it is the same acupuncture at a more affordable price for those that cannot afford regular prices. I realize that private sessions are not feasible for everyone and wanted to offer another option. a great option to treat pain and things like stress. Call, text or email to discuss.
